Installing the plate version

Isolate the supply at the distribution board first. Offer the plate up to the wall or concealed box, mark the fixing holes, drill and plug if required, then screw the plate down so it sits flush. Connect the conductors to the holder terminals, fit the cover and restore the supply. The square plate hides the box edges and any small gaps in the plaster, which is why interior contractors specify it for finished rooms.
