A 6A Top is a 6 amp three-pin plug top for everyday appliances such as lamps, fans, chargers and small kitchen equipment. A 16A Top is rated for 16 amps and is used for heavy appliances such as geysers, room heaters, air conditioners and washing machines.
Plate versions mount the holder or ceiling rose on a square plate that covers the box or wall surface, giving a clean, finished look. Standard versions are compact fittings without the plate.
